Major VoIP companies such as Ring Central, Vonage, Nextiva, and others take the bundling approach of big cable companies when selling their voice service. They only offer three or four “bundles of phone features” for customers to buy at $25, $35, $45, or $55 per phone per month. While most customers want to pay $25, many of the features they need (or want) are in the more expensive bundles. This forces them to spend $35 or $45 per phone per month just to get one or two features they need. This ultimately leads them to spend 50% or more than they intended.
